The bullying depicted in ‘The Glory’ has brought to spotlight a past bullying case where a 22 year old suffered full body burns at the hands of his tormenters. On the night of his birthday in 2020, they had called him out to promise a birthday celebration but led him to a dark, empty space, where they then taped him to a chair, covered his head, and sprayed gasoline around him before setting fireworks off on his knees. He ended up with 40% of his body suffering from third-degree burns and requiring extensive skin transplant surgery.
