The charm of ‘Squid Game’ was in not knowing what the twists and turns would be. If the second season doesn’t have the same impact, you may as well not produce it.

6. [+27, -4] The best part about ‘Squid Game’ was their portrayal of human instinct. I didn’t really care for all of the characters and their back stories, which is why I found the ninth episode the most boring. Sung Gihoon’s character isn’t realistic to me, but Cho Sangwoo was amazing. He wasn’t a tryhard but stood his ground. The way he acted all crazy when he was at risk of dying. I liked that. It was realistic. I even liked the smaller details like how Gihyun always kept Sangwoo at a distance even though they grew up together because somewhere inside, he instinctively looked down on him for being a gambling addict. That was so realistically portrayed.

8. [+19, -1] Second seasons usually don’t do well… and now I’m even more nervous with the spoiler about saving the world ㅋㅋ well, at least Lee Jung Jae doesn’t have to worry about employment for a while

1. [+1,146, -97] Season 2 is going to flop no matter what… there’s just too high of an expectation for it.

The realism is what made the show successful and turning him into a hero would ruin that. Surely they wouldn’t go this route, right?
