KBC held a survey ahead of the formal one to be run by the government to research public opinion on the issue of BTS’ military service. 800 adult men and women over the age of 18 were surveyed, to which 35.3% responded that they were in favor of BTS being given military service exceptions, 22.4% slightly in favor, 12.3% slightly opposed, and 27.5% extremely opposed. When asked their opinion on lengthening the postponement period instead of offering exceptions, 29.4% were in favor, 28% were slightly in favor, 15.9% were slightly opposed, and 23.2% were extremely opposed.
