‘First generation’ rapper Oneson started a YouTube series where he commentates on ‘Show Me the Money’ episodes, and fans of the show have found it a refreshing take for his harsh and critical words against the contestants regardless of their celebrity status.
1. [+510, -9] Honestly, Korean hip hop is such a joke. Just full of rappers who can’t write one lyric without mentioning money, women, or a swear. These are the same kids who grew up eating three warm meals a day and a full education up to high school, and yet their lyrics are so full of unnecessary gangster rage.

I love first generation rappers because a lot of their lyrics feel like an honest glimpse into another life and even console me in my own times of need. That’s what hip hop is supposed to be to me.
7. [+26, -1] The show’s just full of kids who don’t even know the basics of rap and are just there to ‘sing rap’ or use gimmicks ㅋ and if they make it far enough, they start using sob stories like “I’m sorry, mom” ㅋㅋ even the producers are only on the show to sell their own music
